Fun. Funny. They’re almost the same. Who cares if you use one or the other?
I do.
That’s why I made this video that explains the whole thing.
You can view the slideshow I created here.
So to recap:

- Funny is when something makes you laugh.
Okay, now you understand everything completely. Don’t you?

Fun vs Funny Practice
Why is this woman laughing?
I was telling her the 'invisible' joke from the YouTube video. She forgets jokes instantly so you can always re-use the same jokes.
Is this dude having fun?
Doesn't look like it, does it?
Why is this funny?
It IS funny.
Is skiing fun?
If you think lying in hospital for 6 weeks with a broken leg is FUN then SURE.
I like being able to walk, thank you very much.
Can something or someone be FUN and FUNNY at the same time?
Normally when you are laughing you are having a good time. If you're on a date and the other person makes you laugh a lot, then they are funny and you are having fun.
The movie Ghostbusters (the real one, not the terrible remake) is funny. There are 8 or 9 times you will laugh. But when you're not laughing you are still having fun because it's a great movie with memorable characters.
If you are in a stressful situation, like a funeral or a tense business meeting then you probably aren't having fun. But something can happen that is funny.
